The stately 1884 mansion now houses five bright and modern apartments.
Residential projects may not be Larendael's first priority, but with this complex the temptation was too great. This stately mansion on the Amsteldijk offered us the challenge and the opportunity to realize something special. In a wonderful part of Amsterdam, on the waterfront and therefore with the tranquility of the Amstel River at the doorstep and the cosiness of the city just a stone's throw away.
The building has been completely renovated and modernized to a high standard and equipped with all kinds of comforts such as underfloor heating, air conditioning and an alarm system. In the mix of architecture, use of authentic materials and long-term choices in renovation, you will recognize our commitment to innovation and sustainability.
Whether it is new construction or renovation, we tackle the project at its foundation. Soil testing on the Amsteldijk showed that the soil was contaminated and posed a potential health risk to the future residents. To prevent these serious effects, a soil remediation operation was carried out.
The basement tank was found to be leaking. This can result in high humidity and mold and cause respiratory irritation. In addition, this can cause irreparable damage to the walls or structure of the house. Again, the most sustainable solution was chosen and a new watertight tank was installed.
To improve the aesthetic value of the mansion, the facade was cleaned and we decided to grind out, clean and re-point the grout. By investing in residential enjoyment and safety in the interior design, luxury apartments have been created here for residents to enjoy for generations.
The Amsteldijk is easily accessible by car, bicycle, boat and public transportation.
By bike or public transport, you can be in the heart of the capital within 15 minutes. By car you are within 10 minutes on the highway.
In addition to investing in the sustainability of the property, comfortable and safe living has also been considered through the integration of air conditioning, underfloor heating, spotlights in the ceiling and an advanced alarm system.
